Technique

Lost-wax casting is a process that transforms a hand-sculpted wax model into a solid metal piece while preserving an extraordinary level of detail. The original wax model is encased in a specialized investment material that is heated until the wax melts away, leaving behind a precise mold into which molten metal is poured.

This technique offers exceptional creative freedom, allowing for the development of organic forms, sculptural volumes, and intricate textures that would be difficult—or even impossible—to achieve through fabrication alone.

In my work, lost-wax casting is far more than a manufacturing process. It is a deeply creative stage where ideas begin to take physical form before becoming precious metal. Every piece preserves the essence of the original model, capturing subtle gestures, textures, and details that remain forever within the jewel, carrying the memory of its creation.
