About the Flower
The Añañuca (Rhodophiala spp.) is a bulb flower native to Chile's Atacama Desert, best known for carpeting the sand in color during the rare "desierto florido" — the flowering desert — after seasonal rains, in shades ranging from coral to soft pink.
