Ring Mitsuro Hikime Size US 8 Fine Silver Shirley Blanch
From the Brand
Shirley Blanch creates handmade author jewelry from Chile, between the mountains and the sea. Working with silver, gold, and natural stones, she lets the materials guide the forms — never imposing a shape, but allowing one to emerge. Each piece is a small, soulful work carrying time, craft, and intention, made for women who adorn themselves with purpose.
No two pieces are ever identical. Each jewel becomes a singular expression of transformation, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and the uniqueness found in nature.

Technique
Mitsuro Hikime is a rare Japanese wax-working technique that begins with a specially formulated wax. Unlike traditional wax carving, the material is slowly stretched by hand, allowing it to develop organic folds and textures that can never be exactly repeated.
The wax model is then cast using the lost-wax process, preserving every subtle mark and movement in solid metal. The resulting surfaces recall geological formations, weathered landscapes, tree bark, or the natural traces left by time.
What draws me most to Mitsuro Hikime is the dialogue it creates between intention and chance. Every piece carries the memory of the making process and the gestures of the hands that shaped it. No two are ever identical. Each jewel becomes a singular expression of transformation, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and the uniqueness found in nature.
